I was wondering if taking certain pain killers( percocet) can cause you to retain water?

Nope. Percocet can cause nausea and vomiting and it can cause constipation. Not away of bladder retention or swelling with percocet (unless it's an allergic reaction). Perhaps, could it be that you're taking percocet for a reason that might be causing the water retention.

thanks for your help i am taking the percocet for my back pain and my ankles swell so badly that i can't feel my toes so that's why i was wondering if it can cause water retention
