Tylonol Question?

How many mg of tylonol/advil can you take before becoming sick?

Tylenol gives you directions on the bottle. Always follow the recomended dosage. Too much can cause liver damage even if it doesn't make you sick. I'd say no more than 500 mg unless directed otherwise by a doctor.

    tylenol has acetominophen, advil has ibuprofen.

    Extra-strength tylenol has 500mg of acetominophen. A 150-lb person can probably take 4 and not feel any side-effects. Some ppl are more tolerant than others though. Acetominophen is about as bad for your liver as alchohol.

    Normal advil has 200mg ibuprofen in it. Motrin makes an 800mg ibuprofen tablet, so I can say right off the bat that it's ok to take 800mg of ibuprofen in one sitting (which I've done before and I weighed 140 at the time). Ibuprofin is more like asprin so make sure you eat food with it cuz it can hurt your stomach.

    Depends on your weight i wouldn't take more then the rec. amount
