Darvocet 100/650mg?

Question

I just got prescribed them for girl pains ;). I have never took these before and im A little worried. I have took vicodin and percocet though. Is this similiar?

My doctor said to take two, and no more than 6 A day. I was going to cut one in half but there is no line, so I dont know if this is not ment to break. Any help would be great. Thanks

I just need to know what exactly this is, and if I can break it.

Darvocet isnt as strong as percocet or vicodin....I know because I have taken them all for a severe back ache. Just take a little milk or a snack with the darvocet as it makes your tummy rumble.You should not try and cut one in half...I have never heard of anyone doing that but ask your doc.

Davocet is what the Drs. gave people who could not take Darvon. it is not as strong as Vocodin or percocet.
You can break it in half if you like. Eat a little something though, it could upset an empty stomach. No fears.

I don't think darvocet is as strong as vicodin. If it's a tablet, you can cut it but the dr prescribed 2, so I'd take 1 and see how you do, you must be in real pain, so I'm sorry for that. I haven't heard of prescribing darvocet for cramps. It's habit forming and an opiad.

darvocet is a synthetic narcotic. DO NOT break it in half but eat something with it if it bothers your stomach. it is not as strong as vicoden or percocet but more than enough for period pain and less chance of you becoming an addict.

don't worry, it's actually not as strong as vicodin, but in the same family. You can also take an ibuprofen with 1 if you don't feel comfortable taking 2 darvocet-the ibuprofen will slightly enhance the effect of the darvocet.

Definitely do not take them on an empty stomach, you will puke.

Not near as strong as vicodin. May cause nausea. I wouldn't take two until you try them. You can cut them in half safely. Actually, they break easily - just snap them in two. It shouldn't make you sleepy like the vicodin might, but be careful about driving or anything dangerous.

I was prescribed Darvocet right after my accident. It didn't agree with me what so ever. I became very loopy, could hardly respond to questions and disoriented (AFTER TAKING IT Not as a result of the accident).

I told my doctor give me Tylnol w/codine

Your doctor knows what he is doing. Do not split the pill, take it with a full glass of water, which will allow the pill to be absorbed into your bloodstream sooner.

Darvocet(propoxephene) is not as strong as Vicodin and definitely not as strong as Percocet.You can take only a half a tablet if your nervous.Food on pain meds is always good to help with nausea and if need to take it relatively often try it with and O-T-C stool softener.Pain meds always cause constipation.No worries and good luck!

if you have taken vicoden and percocet then you will be just fine. you won't even know you took any meds. Its not very strong. Vicodin is much stronger and percocet is even more stronger. So you will be fine. If you wnat tto cut it to make yourself feel better then its okay as long as its does not have ER after the 100/650mg. Just cut it in half

They are actually milder than vicodin. Be careful because they may cause upset stomach. IF you want to cut in half, just use a knife and cut down the middle.

KitKat is correct in that Darvocet is not as strong as either Vicodin or Percoset, but they are all pain medications. Please do not break the pills in half, it will change the absorption time and characteristics. If you are worried, only take one pill at a time.
