What happens if i take a ultram xr and cut in half then take it im prescribed 100 mg a day?

you shouldnt attempt to divert the Extended release mechanism of Ultram ER. This medication is intended to be swallowed whole, making use of the ER formulation. If you want to take less in divided doses, talk to your MD about switching to plain Tramadol HCl tablets. Those are not ER.
