Why Yahoo removed Iran from country list?!?

Hi,
When you want to sign up for Yahoo Mail, you have to select your country. I'm an Iranian so naturally I searched for Iran in that list and unfortunately I found that Yahoo! has removed Iran from list of countries.
So can you explain me why Yahoo has done that?
Because of sanctions? Sanction for people or government?
Do you believe that government and people are not same?! as George Bush said...
Iran is not a name for a government. Iran is a name for 70 millions people. So they want to impose sanctions on Persian people not for government! Government doesn't need Yahoo Mail!!!!

I'm waiting for your responses.
Thanks

I wish I knew. Take care. What I know is this is a company that can edit at their discretion. It may be free but they have bills and sponsors have wills... Many of the posts from Iran bring us such great news and sadness due to a President who does not support your people. You may hear that from the US but we have an election going on. Bush is not running again but his party/Republican is. He is no tyrant. But some lines are being drawn in the sand. Some threats we hear of, both sides. Tell me is Persian Journal a decent report or propaganda? I try and read it daily.

It may seem that yahoo removed Iran but Iran may be placing a ban on western influences that it see's as bad. China places a firewall on information through the net if you looked up the Dahli Lama in China you will only see negative reports. This is a strange thing that may be caused by your government controlling the media in Iran.
    Good luck.
Yahoo has said nothing about the removal that I have heard.
