What kind of visas do i need to go backpacking from Malaysia to Europe thru China & Russia?

I would prefer to travel by land starting from Malaysia -> Thailand -> China -> Mongolia -> Russia -> Europe.

if you are traveling to Europe, the best option is to apply for Schengen visa.
i assume that you should also apply for transit visas for all those countries.
