Is it a good time to go Taipei around May?

I and my boyfriend are planning to visit Taipei around May. Is it a good time to go? Can anyone help me to find out which place is the most interesting and romantic?

well, let's see...
my family's from taipei, taiwan.
what i like about taipei are the 7 elevens all over the place (you can buy nice drinks for about a dollar!! ~ they taste really good, so don't get addicted)
if you want something really nice, go to hualien (eastern side of taiwan) there is a nice hotel there called Quality Inn
taipei has many nice night markets, they are fun and cheap.

umm... oh!! and yeah, i wouldn't go to taiwan in may, cause it's very hot and humid. you literally die if you go outside, the sun stings!!! go in a cooler time of the year.
