How far from Kaosiung to Taipei?

i wish to travel to Taiwan,but my flight is landing on Kaosiung airport, how far from Kaosiung to Taipei?

there are four ways to travel between these two cities:
a) by train: the fastest one takes around 4 hours, the slowest one takes 4 - 6 hours.

b) by car: if there's no traffic jam (it's kinda impossible, the traffic in Taiwan is sucks), it still takes more than 4 hours.

c) by flight: takes 40 - 50 minutes

d) by high-speed railway: 90 minutes (the price is almost the same as the flight but cheaper)

so i recommend you to take high-speed railway, but still depends on what you need...saving money or saving time

you can sit on the taiwan high speed rail to get to taipei. takes about an hour and a half to get there.

its really far......but if you are already in kaosiung you should look around. it has nice scenerey. and it is also a good place to find bargains. but usually it takes over 4 hours.

but for about...um...$40 USD or about $1200 taiwan dollar, u can take the high speed rail. its like the bullet train in europe. it only takes about 1 hr to get to taipei by HSR.

i recommend you to take the high speed railway cause the airplane is very uncomfortable
the high speed railway take more than 90 minutes cause there are many stations between Kaosiung and Taipei ( 90 minutes means that if there are no stations between )
