Hi, The Nyepi Day/Silent Day in Bali will be on 10 March 2010. as usual there will be no fire/light, activities/work, traveling and entertainment which are most called "Catur Brata Panyepian" 4 abstentions during Nyepi Day. The Balinese Hindu on this day are doing meditation, contemplation or introspection to what they have did. Within 24 hours Bali will be as dead island with no sound of traffic to honor the Hindu people do this holy day.

So whoever you are including Balinese Hindu are not permitted going out from the house or hotels for what any reason except emergency go to the hospital. Hotels are permitted to use very limited light with no activities expose to the public. The hotel's guest are only allowed walk within the hotel area only and not permitted to go out to avoid the local custom sanction which are very tough. There will be no flight arrival and departure on this day and the Bali's International Airport will be closed within 24 hours.

But the day before the Nyepi Day, there will be great event of Ogoh - Ogoh Parade surround every village in Bali and that is very fascination for guest. You will be experience this parade with traditional gamelan follow the attraction and it is the amazing to see.

So we are not differentiate to anyone who wish to come to Bali even we offer warm welcome for every one who wish to come to this island but for this day Bali Island is closed for any activities.
