My parents were born in Indonesia but we are now Malaysian citizens. We cancelled our annual mudik (balik kampong) to Sukabumi due to the sentiment.

We feel that we are not welcome to our parents' homeland anymore. Anyway, this save air ticket for 8 of us, as well as our annual Aidil Fitri donation (USD$5,000) for our poorer relatives there. We just feel stupid giving them money when they treat us as enemy.

Im just relating my frustration.
