How long does caffeine stay in the body?

Earlier this afternoon I drank half a liter of milk tea (that is, black tea + milk). I am not a regular drinker of caffeinated drinks whatsoever, but now I want to rest a bit but I think my min is quite hyperactive. Will drinking more water eliminate the caffeine in my body faster? How long does the caffeine stay in my body?

It usually stays for 6 hours but if you are not used to drinking caffeine then the effects can be much more stronger. I don't know if water will flush it out, it might help. Maybe if you have some warm milk it'll help you fall asleep, or if you eat some foods that make you feel sleepy like starchy foods like potatoes or a sandwich.
