My 9 week old chihuahua puppy?

Question

I have a chihuahua and is 9 weeks old. Since yesterday he has been pooping brown soft.. But not diareah; he did not want to eat this morning :(... Please help im dying what could it be?... Im going to take him to get his shots wednesday

Actually i gave him a cuban medicine called "metrinidazol" wich is usually for upset stomach; and he satrted eating like non stop.. He has his apetite back and seems alot more happier.. IM SO HAPPY

The reason he isn't eating is because dogs instinctually know when they have a tummy bug that should fast, kinda the oposite of when they eat grass.

Likely it is just something he ate, or reaction to worming meds. As long as he starts eating tomorrow and his poop returns to norm then he should be fine. If it does persist then call your vet and ask if they think you need to bring him in before his next trip.

I would call your vet/vet tech and ask if you can bring him in early for a check up and shot. You could try feeding yogurt, mashed bananas, cottage cheese, cooked scrambled eggs, or cooked plain rice. It might settle his stomach, but won't fix what is wrong. Good luck.

Try feeding him some boiled chicken and rice and mention it to the vet when you take him in.

Has he been to the vet already for worming? The medication can upset him a bit. Have you changed his food?
