- I don't know. Some religions are strict vegetarians. They can not eat jello, jelly, or anything with a thickener. Bone marrow is used to make it jell. So there could be something to this statement. Look at the ingredients very closely. If it contains any gelatin or gel product, it just might be bone marrow from pigs.0% 0 Votes
