How to measure the temperature of a magnet?

For a science fair project I want to measure the temperature of a magnet (YBCO) as it cools down. Any ideas? Do I use a certain instrument? Or is there a formula?

You use a thermocouple or thermister and attach them to a circuit that converts their value to a temperature. The former produces a small voltage proportional to temp, the latter changes resistance with temperature. Both are available as small beads on the end of leads so you can glue, tape or otherwise fashion them to some thing.
A common type of thermocouple is a K-type and DVM's are available that come with a small bead TC The link brings up some - I have seen Yellow units in hardware store with a jack for themocouples at $35-40
One of the links tells how to use a volt meter to read directly the output voltage http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&clien…
