Okay heres the thing we are " versatile " key word. Plain and simple most of us like different things why? Well because apperantly we have a short attention span we like to live with a motto that " life is to short " so because of that we want to do everything and have everything and have everyone if we can. This includes relationship we may not be thinking in this philosophy per-say but we will sort of live it. That's because we are known for not being in a relationship for a very long time. We have a relationship and as soon as another girl/guy gets our attention we are thinking if we can go with them etc. This is why we have been giving the stereotype of CHEATERS. as sometime we wont wait to end out first relationship to get with the other. The fact is we can't help it some signs are born to love forever we are born to try different things to (to put it in laymen's) [until we find what we are looking for.](soulmate) So in all that retrospect because we are hop-ing from one relationship to another we hardly connect with another person emotionally. Thats our weakness so in that sense we can say thats why we do what we do because we are trying out different partners until we find the one we can make a connection with forever. When this does happen it has been said that this will happen when geminis are older as they have matured and understand life so they will stop playing the field as much before therefore they finally settle down. It has been also said when they settle and i mean for good its because they really like/love!!! that person and if they have fully settled down they can be one of the most LOYAL persons to their partner!!!
