How will I know I'm gonna get my period?

I'm 12 years old and i've got discharge i've had it for a couple of years. My mom got her period at 10 and i'm worried! I know i shouldn't be, but can i get some tips?

the period is once a month, or once 25 or 26 days

every girl is different, so you can't really tell how much you're going to discharge until you've had a period for several years and it forms a pattern

I usually record when my period started and ended, then put on a pad or tampon a couple days earlier just in case. It works for the most part

if you come into contact with lots of cold stuff or get a cold, then it is possible that the period will come late, be an exception to the pattern in either amount or intensity, or not even come at all

the best thing to prevent that is to keep warm at all times and have some pads or tampons ready with you all the time and everywhere - just in case

There arent really any tips, but The average age for getting ur period is 13 so U have plenty of time yet and seeing as u already have discharge then im sure its not far off.

Other signs are pubic and armpit hair and mood swings and breast development. Try not to worry or stress about it too much tho as stress can cause ur period to be delayed.

i got mine at 13, but it really changes for each woman. i had discharge for a couple years before i started too! the day before i started i had horrible cramps, but i didnt realize thats what they were and i thought i had food poisoning! youll start when your body says to. you should keep some pads around just in case!

The average age is 12 and a half, but it's normal to start anywhere from 9 to 18. I'm sure you're fine!

Have you started developing breasts of do you have any visible leg hair or pubic hair? These are all signs your period will start soon.

i had discharge for a couple years too. I got my period when my stomach felt like had never before, it is weird, it feels like your hungry but your not. Then, it will just come. Dont stress it will make it worse.

underarm hair
pubic hair
breast buds
discharge
black leg hair
u start to sweat more often
lots of pimples
