Is it possible that he likes me back?

Okay, so there is this guy that I really like at school, and I'm not sure whether he likes me back, although myself and my friends (his friends as well) have a hunch that he does.
I'm sure I can figure this out for myself, but I'm just interested in other people's views.
I have been friends with him for about 5 months now, and we seem to have grown gradually closer, and I have become to like him a lot.

For example: when we are standing in a group somewhere and he comes over, my friends have pointed out to me that he always seems to prefer to stand next to me, and directs his conversation and gestures towards me a lot of the time. He isn't super flirtatious, so this is sorta unusual for him.

I know that he likes someone, because my friends keep pestering him about telling them who the person is, and they are leaning towards 'that person' being me. Someone asked his best friend the other day who he thinks he likes, and he said "Yes," and glanced in my direction, as if to say,"and it's you."

There are just a whole heap of little things that he has said and done that are making me grow even more suspicious that he likes me, and I think he knows that I like him back, just by how my friends act while we are around each other. (Hinting and wink wink-nudge nudge stuff)
What do you think? Any suggestions as to what I should do?

Keep it going! Lots of eye sex and coy smiling. Communicate to him with body language that he's got the green light from you. Pick up the intensity gradually but not too quickly too soon else you may scare him off.

Then its either you or him that will fess. ;)
good luck!
