  • If living things evolved, why then after billions of years haven't they been able to evolve to conquer death?

I don't much believe evolution that much, but if you do can you explain that no matter how advacned or well evolved an animal is or 'was' they still all die and turn into to dirt. If evolution is real, why haven't any living things evolved enough to survive death?

  • Heard that intercourse causes a release of hormones that "attaches" you to your mate for 2-4 years?

A lady mentioned this on Tyra. That if you have sex with someone, your body releases all these hormones that make you feel good. This makes your brain want to be with them and causes an emotional attachment with them that lasts for 2-3 (or 3-4?) years. I thought I heard something like that too, that most divorces end up being by the 4th year... show more

This makes your brain want to be with them and causes an emotional attachment with them that lasts for 2-3 (or 3-4?) years. I thought I heard something like that too, that most divorces end up being by the 4th year because of this... and that the attachment lasts that long b/c that's approximately how long it would take (if we lived like cavemen) to rear a child enough so that they can somewhat fend for themselves. Has anyone heard this and where could I find the research to back it up? Haha, its not "all in my head" This is something I heard and I was wondering where they got this information! I wouldn't believe it until I see any valid research. I'm trying to look it up for myself but my Google-Fu skills aren't quite up to par. TY skiracer712 for your insight. I was afraid that it was some crock doctor's "theory" but I don't think it's trying to imply that the hormones stay w/in your body for that long. Simply that the endorphines your body releases would have that kind of effect on your brain.
