After introducing yourself you observe that he appears irritated. You begin orienting him to the room when he abruptly interrupts you to complain about having to sleep in “this place” and states that he doesn’t want to be here in the first place. He continues, “There’s nothing wrong with me, my doctor is making me do this.” How would you respond? You are connecting a patient with sensors for a sleep study and chatting with the patient. The patient begins to tell you their feelings about the immigrant situation in the United States. How would you proceed with the conversation? I sure would appreciate imput from anyone that may deal with these situations...Thank you

It is like she hasn't grown into it all the way yet. She also has little wrinkles on the top of her head. The rest of her body has "normal" skin. In the State I live in she can legally leave my home (which she did for a week) BUT I can still be held legally responsible for certain things she may do....damage to other property, things like that. She is a junior in high school. Of course, she is trying to hold it over my head that she can leave anytime she chooses! I am at the end of my rope with this! I can honestly say that I have...til now...been entirely too lenient. The "infractions" are minor really. I am not talking about drug use, major problems with the law or anything like that. She pushes every limit: always late with curfew, always late to school...if she goes, does not feel she should be responsible for any chores around the house, feels there is no need to let me know where she is at... The best I can come up with is to come up with some type of written contract with all the kids in the house...I anticipate she will refuse to sign it! I really need good suggestions. Her father who is not in our home, provides her cell phone and her car...I am getting no back up from him AT ALL!! HELP!!

I do have a multi cat house so "George" knows that there is other food in the house! What can I do to encourage him to eat this stuff?? I don't know if there is anything I can SAFELY add to his food to get him to eat it. Any suggestions would be great! I definitely want him to feel better and not end up blocking again. After doing a lot of research on the topic, everything seems to point to canned food being the best. I discussed this with the vet but he feels dry is the best. I want to follow his advice and try my best to avoid future problems BUT the vet info and research info are not matching up! I have purchased a kitty fountain that he loves to keep is water intake up. I just want to take care of the situation to prevent instead of treat another problem. The vet also told me that some cats just simply can't tolerate even one little kitty treat...may block him up! We have been dealing with blood in his urine for a month and a half before he blocked completely. I am not feeling comfortable with total dry food diet but yet the vet is the professional! Anyone have advice or suggestions? I just know this will be a life long commitment to his health. I don't know if his size has anything to do with this either. He's a big boy...not fat...big, like 2 cats worth...17 and 1/2 pounds. Serious suggestions would REALLY be appreciated! Thanks

I addition, I have taken in 6 barn kitties...2 have been re homed. My intentions have been to get the 4 spay and neutered and then re home them also. Here's the problem...One of my own boys is now at the vet with a urinary blockage. Things are coming along well but I do expect to have a several hundred dollar vet bill. He will at least be there for 3 days! Now I am in a position of not having the funds to follow thru with my plan with the strays! One is pregnant, one is sickly, and the two boys have reached maturity and need to be neutered asap. They all need shots...I am aware of the low cost vet clinics but at this point it is still too much...What in the world do I do? I had such good intentions but they have backfired and now I am over run with cats. I don't want to take them to the shelter...that would defeat the purpose. I have posted numerous ads on craigslist...but people have little interest in kitties that are older and not utd on shots and fixed! Help, Help, Help! I feel a little stuck here....AND I don't think the additional cats well be making for a great recovery for my sick boy (stress) Any really great suggestions...Have have rescued several cats and always been successful but I really got into a mess this time and feel in over my head! Thanks in advance for serious responses
