  • Why do people with dementia often struggle to connect the past and the present? ?

Through my research and a little bit of my own experience, I have noticed that people with dementia tend to get confused between now and the past.

I was curious to why they can have such a good memory of the past but tend to struggle to remember something from the present...?

  • About dementia from the family and carer/nurse's perspective. ?

For my final year project, I am developing a product to support the people with dementia and the people around them. To get a deeper understanding of dementia, I would like to ask a few questions.

    1. What are the main effects of dementia that you noticed about them?

    2. What are the struggles that you face?

    3. From your perspective, does it seem that they have difficulties connecting the past and the present?

    4. From your understanding and experiences, do you think it would help them and you if the people with dementia had things to occupy or focus them?
