I'm going on an expedition to the desert in 3 weeks and i really cannot pass on this opportunity for some great photography chances. The problem is, I only have a bridge camera, and there are no threads on the lens for me to attach a UV filter, which i was planning to use to prevent my lens from being scratched by the fine sand that gets everywhere.
My second plan was to use a waterproof housing for it, but the only sizes i have come across are for either a small compact of for a large SLR. The compact one's are to small and the ones for the SLR cameras are too big in that the part for the lens is too long or too big.
I can't find any that are the right size for my camera, which is a fuji S1500 (http://fujifilm.co.uk/consumer/digital/d...
but I really need to take it. It would help a massive amount for my school photography project, and I would greatly regret not taking it.
Any help whatsoever for this would be absolutely brilliant! thanks :)
Also, I've bought a 15m length of paracord for many uses when i'm there, and i know the can be plaited in a way that it can be used as a headband for a keffiyeh. I've looked all over the internet but I can't seem to find a way to do it, any help with that would also be great, thanks :)
