• Maccas on hold ?

  I applied to 3 maccas restaurants around 4 days ago and I got accepted into one, and another I got put in the Talent Pool. 

  I withdrew the application to the maccas that accepted me because my parents ended up deciding they didn’t want me to work that far, and all the other applications were put on hold.

  It says: “The application has been "locked" at this location, most likely because the application is being processed at another location.” 

  Does this mean I can’t be accepted by the other maccas until it’s not “on hold”? And if I can’t, when will it be put off hold ?

• Refused a job offer due to different shift and position ?

  Ok so my job offered me a different position which comes with a different schedule/shift and i turned it down and gave my position that ive had the whole time ive worked there(2 years) to somebody else i refused the other job offer so that means i have no job since i refused is that how its supposed to be is that right!?

• why don't career assessment tests ask about interest in traveling overseas?

  I have taken numerous career assessment tests and none of them  ask about my interest in travelling overseas. I might not want to teach at a High school in the USA but I enjoy teaching in China, Brazil, and Cambodia. I might not want to negotiate contracts for firms in the USA but I would enjoy negotiating contracts with foreign companies. Unlike most Americans I am Xenocentric as opposed to being xenophobic.  I am always excited when i meet people from China , Brazil,or Russia because i like practicing my Mandarin, Russian and Portuguese with them and asking them about the city they live in.  So far I have spent the last 7 years travelling in Asia and South America and I am always thinking of where I should go next. I am thinking about either Central Asia, Eastern Europe, or Laos.

• I listed my new job as an employer for my new apartment, but I don't start for another week. ?

  Hi so I just got a new babysitting gig and my start date isn't for a week. I've been applying to apartments and they require employer information and I put my new employer down not thinking they are going to call. Now it's 10pm and I'm stressing that the new family I work with is going to be upset that I listed them. Help what should I do?

• Could this be a meeting for my company to let me go? Or does it sound like something else?

  I have a meeting tomorrow with the director of my department and the VP of Human Resources. The title of the meeting just states "Role changes". I was assuming it's not because people have been giving me projects to work on over the next few weeks. Is this enough information to assume anything?

• Dealing with boss's and coworkers. How do I keep Calm?

  I get easily annoyed at being told that I'm not doing the correct thing when people around me

  don't follow the rules or don't do there job correctly. I do point this out and I also mention

  that they are also doing things incorrectly.

  Its seems like the managers only want to be 

  Manager's when it suits them. I feel regardless

  Of ones job title you shouldn't preach something unless you yourself follow it. Reguardless of

  If its another manager, Coworker or boss. How do

  I keep my cool and not lose it every time

• Is working from home like a vacation?

  Is everyone enjoying working from home like me during this pandemic? It's awesome! These past six months have been like a really long vacation where I can either relax at home, go out for walks, go on a shopping spree, or even go to the beach, all while getting paid for it. Is everyone else enjoying working from home like I am?

• jeff bezo is a ******* cheapskate ?

  he has made 200 billion dollars from his amazon company, he is the richest man alive richer than bill gates! and only pay his delivery driver 14-17 an hour and expect them to deliver 160-200 packages a day! i believe we should get 20 an hour because we are also risking our lives driving on the road on the freeway etc. that many packages would take up to to 10 hours is why hour shift are 10 hours long. not to mention we have to find a bathroom if we have to go the bathroom and that is a *****.

• Career ideas for organized person?

  I'm trying to brainstorm some career ideas. I am a very punctual and organized person. I have been planning my best friends hen party it's a destination one for 7 of us so there is quite a bit of planning involved and I have enjoyed every bit of it and several people have said what a great job I am doing, how organized I am and I should do it as a career and I thought wow that would be so cool so I want to look into that but I'm just wondering what else is out there that I could use my skills for, I was also thinking about Quantity Surveying or Property Management. I think what I like about those is you have to be organized and you are able to go about things in your own way. Any ideas of other careers? Thanks!

• Grocery bagging help ?

  I’m a new cashier working at a food store and still confused with bagging. I’m told to put all meats together, but apparently raw chicken is supposed to go by itself? So, can I put different types of meats together besides chicken or no, do they all have to be by themselves?

• My boss won't give me a raise? Is avoiding me?

  So I got hired at this facility starting pay 13.00 I got all the certifications needed- CPR, Insulin, Certified Registered Medication Aide, MHSS, etc for this job and they still are paying me 13.00. I brought it up to my boss asking to get paid 15.00 due to my certifications and she replied thats for CRMA's/MHRT's with years of experience etc. I've been working there since late april and its now september. So I talked to my coworkers about it and they're outraged that I haven't gotten a raise yet. I always pick up shifts never late, my coworkers say I do a good job etc. And lot of them are making 15.00 or more and have been working there for a short amount of time just like myself. I sent my boss an email pertaining to a few subject and including me asking for a pay raise and she responded to my other questions and not about my pay. What should i do?

• Why did he look me up and down? ?

  I just finished orientation at my new job. I dressed in somewhat business clothes because it’s an office job I’m 21. I wore khakis and a plain black top. When I was leaving one of the guys who worked there said see you tomorrow and then looked me up and down before he walked back into the building he looked to be in his late 30’s. He must’ve overheard someone say I’ll be working there because he wasn’t there the whole orientation and he works in a different department. Did he do that because my outfit wasn’t the most proper outfit or was he checking me out?

• How to escape a toxic environment?

  I currently live at home with my parents and siblings. To say that my mental health is affected by living with them is an understatement. I currently work 2 jobs while in school, trying to make enough money to live on my own but after calculating everything, after all expenses I'd barely have enough for food. I've considered living with a co-worker but the amount I'd have to pay would be almost as much as living on my own. I've thought of staying over another friend's house but we're part of a culture where it's looked down on to move out before marriage to begin with. I've tried finding a job that pays more but I don't have the qualifications as I am still working on my degree. I've thought of countless different options but none seem to work out. As of now, I'm just excited to graduate and leave but that's not for another 2 years. Any suggestions?

• Changing jobs... What do you think?

  Quick story... I wanted to be a Navy SEAL since I was 8, it was my dream job...I trained for YEARS to become one. After graduating high school I started having seizures and was kicked out of the Navy... 

  Soooo my backup job in the Navy was Firefighter if I didn't pass BUDs. So after getting released, I decided to become a Firefighter/Paramedic, thinking it would be a fun job to have. After spending about thousands of dollars on 3 years of training, and 6 years working Fire/Rescue and working in the hospital... I have had enough. I just can't stand this job. After my seizures started, my whole mentality/personality has changed (due to brain damage and the medicine itself) ... Im not sure what to do.

  Do you think changing jobs and going to school again would be okay at my age? Im 26 years old. I love food and love cooking, so I thought about going to culinary school might be a good job. Do you think that would be a bad idea, after all what I invested?

• Where can I buy a nanny cam?

  I am home most of the day and night.  I only go out for walks to get exercise.  I have noticed a few things have gone missing but I dont know where.  If i bought a nanny cam, is that what there called in the store?  I dont want to ask a sales clerk for them.
