  • Is going to college barefoot allowed?

I just got accepted at a college a few weeks ago, as I’m going there to meet with the people to see what classes I need to take, I tend to see people walking around with bare feet. Is that allowed at colleges?

  • Is it possible to finish a college semester before everyone else in your class?

Best answer: Possible, yes. Probable, no. Each teacher would have to agree to give you not only the assignments but also the final exam. In classes where the final is a term paper, you can turn that in anytime before the deadline. For classes where there is a final exam, the professor would have to agree to give you the... show more

In classes where the final is a term paper, you can turn that in anytime before the deadline. For classes where there is a final exam, the professor would have to agree to give you the final and probably also create a final just for you. They will not allow you to take the same final that other students will get for fear that information might get out to the other students. All you can do is ask.

  • My son is uneasy about going off to college. Is this normal?

My son is going to a major university about 5 hours away. It seems like all of his friends are really excited about college and moving away. But my son is really kind of uptight about it, worrying if he will find new friends, etc. Is it normal for kids to have anxiety about heading off to college?

US? Very few US med schools accept any foreign students, and those where you can apply expect you to prove you & your parents have sufficient funds for all your school + living expenses for all 4 years - currently USD500,000 & up.

Medicine is not worth the time & money unless you are totally committed to healing, and will work in your country of citizenship. You don't go into medicine for the money & expect to be successful. It's too hard, too expensive, and takes way too long.

I am currently in cc and majoring in Business Administration because I was hoping in the future to become a Property Developer or open up a business. I know most people don’t like classes regardless but after a year I feel so iffy because I feel miserable and unmotivated spending with all the subjects I strongly dislike like math and economics and accounting. In addition I’m an introverted person and can get anxious when meeting up with people. I realize these subjects is something I’ll be doing for the rest of my career if I do want to become a developer or start up a business. I was wondering if it’s worth it to pursue a career that’s made of subjects I can’t stand or should I look into something else? I really liked the idea in the first place because of not having to work for someone else, flexible profits, owning, etc.

  • For those of you who think there shouldn't be more funding for education, do you look down on people who choose not to go to college?

For example, if a young adult wants to go straight into the workforce instead of college to avoid student debt, is it an acceptable excuse? Why or why not? (This question is mostly targeted to people who are against the idea of free college.)

  • University of North Carolina?

Best answer: I'm srure the university's website can give you a complete list. It's a huge university that has almost every conceivable degree, with one big exception: It has no engineering school, so no engineering degrees. For that, in piedmont N.C., you'd need to go to NC State, Duke, or NC A&T.
