If it where easy everyone would be writing hit songs. Dont beat yourself up about it, you went to only one person in an area that has lots of people trying to make it. Hes seen just about everything and hes telling you to bring something he hasnt seen. There is money involved in trying to make music, and there are no guarantees. Keep doing what you are doing and something will stick.

We are unbelievably fortunate to live on a time when such a band exists, making such extraordinarily superb music and revolutionizing the way people listen to it, not to mention their cultural impact and all the innovations they've bought. It's pathetic to see other bands struggle to keep up with 311, they are on the cutting edge of everything and making the world a better place with every thing they do. Nobody knows who the Beatles are.
