    When my wife and I moved into our rental home some 12+ years ago the place was broom swept and the walls painted. Over the years the house has changed owners and gone through several different management companies. I recently inquired with our current management company about possibly coming in and doing a cleaning and painting since it hasn't been painted in at least 12+ years and the management company replied to me saying that painting a rental unit is the responsibility of the tenant? I fail to believe that is true. I pay rent and you manage the upkeep. How often is a rental unit supposed to be painted or just given a deep cleaning and is it the responsibility of the tenant to pay for that?

A week after the closing, town inspectors showed up saying there's an oil leak coming from our tank, from the valve connecting the two oil tanks.     My neighbors are **OBVIOUSLY** selling drugs. People coming in and out constantly which is fine, it s none of my business.. However they had started to park on our property in front of one of my boyfriend s tenant (we live in his 4plex) and the tenant complains constantly about randoms parking there. My boyfriend had already spoken to these neighbors about property line and they respected it for A WHILE but randoms started to park there more and more. I would try to tow them but they re not there for long maybe 20-30 minutes at a time. We put up signs saying we will tow if parked here but it only had them stop for about a month. There are about 3 cars that are repeat offenders and they continue to park there even late at night when they re sleeping. My boyfriend hasn t made any changes after speaking to him. How should I handle this?

    If title is held as Tenants in Common, there is no right of survivorship attached to the deed. When one tenant dies, their share is treated as any other part of their estate and is distributed according to their will if they have one or according to the state intestacy laws if they don't have a will.
