"Fraud involves using a lie, deception, falsehood, or dishonesty in an attempt to gain a benefit." I was lied to and mislead to believe a woman I met online was poor, in need of financial help and was single. She led me to believe she liked talking to me and did so daily. She claimed the money I was sending her was being used for living expenses and college but I later discovered it was being blown on vacations with her bf who she convinced me did not exist. How is this not fraud? Cops claim she committed no crime but by definition this is most definitely fraud. Sure I willingly gave her the money, based on false pretense. Just like anyone who is conned out of money does in any scam does. Had I known the truth I most definitely wouldn't have gave her a dime, but she used the lies in order to benefit and it has caused me to suffer a great financial loss of over $75K. It has also ruined my credit, caused mental anguish and distress, depesssion and caused me to lose my trust in people making relationships strained. I think the cops are wrong. This has to be a crime. I think because it's a girl scamming a guy ppl view it as "no big deal" but if it was the other way around they'd be up in arms claiming fraud, extortion, rape, murder etc. This is unreal.

  • Should the mom have the final say on the name of the baby?

Best answer: Yes I think so. Ideally both parents can compromise on a name, but if not I think the mother should have the final say, especially if you're likely to be the main caregiver for the child. Perhaps the father can choose the middle name?

My now ex-girlfriend decided to smash up some of my things during our breakup. She was drunk and said she would replace them but i dont know how much im allowed to claim off of her. She threw my shaver out of an upstairs window and it smashed (£50 new) and then she took my 1yr old camera and, with a month old lens attached, repeatedly smashed it into a wall while holding the strap like a lasoo until it broke. The camera cost me £385 new but it was 14 months old. How much should she pay? The lens which i bought last month cost me £180. How much should she pay? I dont want to be greedy but at the same time i want these items back and dont want to be left out of pocket. Should she pay ME retail price and i buy those items again OR should she be looking at second hand price for these items as they were probably worth a little less at the time OR should she buy these items for me new OR should she buy me second hand replacements of these. But she fully intended to break them. Im confused and i want my camera back.
