Best answer: Maine or New Hampshire. I love the Northeast. If I had unlimited funds I'd buy a massive cabin there.

Best answer: Your criteria are unrealistic for a state that is mostly coastline and in the deep south (humid), and whose largest industry is tourism.

I live in the panhandle (between Pensacola and Panama City) on the Gulf Coast and LOVE it here. However, it IS very humid.

Somewhere fun (nightlife, clubs, bars) - we have that here, all along the "Emerald Coast"
-Somewhere close to a beach with nice apartments under $1,000 a month - You can find places to rent here for under $1K/mo but I don't know what you consider "nice". The closer to the beach, the more expensive it will be. You can get good deals on condo rentals in the off-season, and be right on the beach, but not during the shoulder or high seasons.
    -Nice area - Emerald Coast
-Warm weather (not too humid) - see my comment above (ALL of FL is humid...all the US south is humid)
-Education (colleges) - we aren't a college town but there is higher education accessible from this area and we do have a small college locally (NWFL State College)
-Expenses? - it's cheaper to live here than NY
-Good beaches, good people (more of like colleges students rather than retired people) - our beaches are gorgeous with sugar-white sand and emerald green waters. People come here on vacay and many come back to stay permanently. We have a high military presence due to having several military bases from Pensacola to Panama City (at least 5) so there are people of varying ages, with a higher population of retirees being in the southern part of the state.

I was in San Francisco and opened the door open for a woman and it turned into a 12 minute argument about me being a privileged white guy who was sexist for doing so, eventually a cop just told us to move along. It was the only state i've been to out of 14 that is like this, i just wanted to know why is it so PC?

  • Cheap places to travel?

My partner and I would like to go somewhere for a week this winter. Are there any suggestions? Warm or cold climate doesn’t matter. We just want to go somewhere unique to experience food, culture, etc. That won’t break the bank.

  • Does anyone know anything about Fort Riley in Kansas?

My fiance is going to Fort Riley after his AIT graduation. I could always look on the websites for info on Ft. Riley but not every website tells the truth. They sugarcoat things to make it seem like everything is butterflies and rainbows. Can anyone tell me what Ft. Riley is really like? Thanks.

Regardless you are wasting far more time trying to figure out how to auto pay the tolls. You are probably talking about less than 1 minute to pay these tolls. I say that given the fact I'm one even of the few people who actually register for toll passes in states I vacation in for a few days, but again I only do it when I know I will be using the toll road a lot, not just passing through.
