Most people born abroad are outstanding citizens, you have to worry about the ones born in Australia, they are the criminals: Eddie Obaid: Gross misconduct Adam Marshall: Drunk driving Milton Orkopoulos: 33 counts of child sex and drug offences! Richard Face: Making false statements to the police Ian McDonald: Selling mining rights for personal benefits Barry Morris: Making death threats Tony Packard: Spying Rex Jackson: Accepting bribes Keith White: Child sex offences Gordon Nuttall: Corruption and revealing State secrets Merri Rose: Extortion Bill D'Arcy: Child sex offences Karen Suthers: Drunk driving Don Lane: Extortion Brenton Best: Drunk driving Terry Martin: Producing child pornography and rape Bernard Finnigan: Child pornography That is just an example. It would take too long to list all the criminals in the Australian government. You need people from abroad to show you what behaviour is acceptable.

The USA were seriously crapping it during the 50s, 60s and 70s. The Cuban Missile Crisis, Bay of Pigs, Korean War, Vietnam War, Space Race, Arms Race, McCarthy witch-hunts etc. The only nation who really supported them through all of this was Australia. Australia found communists so scary that they had to join in the Vietnam War. The Liberal Party was created to answer the 'growing threat' of socialism. It is estimated that MI5 managed to infiltrate Soviet Russia with hundreds of spies, leaked documents suggest this estimate might even be on the conservative side. That is probably why the UK was never threatened by them. My parents grew up during the Cold War and it was such a non-event for them, the threat of Russia or other communist countries didn't even register. To this day there are users in the Travel Australia section worrying about getting nuked by North Korea. Did the Cold War hysteria hit Australia badly?
