I ve been really interested in Paleolithic and Neolithic ways of life lately, and I ve been researching how people would build houses, make clothing, procure water and food, etc. A lot of people seem to take to it as a hobby. Les Stroud, aka Survivorman, and his wife lived for a year in the Canadian wilderness using primitive techs. And I d heard somewhere before that a person could do that in any US National Park, but upon doing some very basic research, it seems that length of stay and hunting are pretty heavily restricted by the National Park Service. Is there anywhere feasible in the US or on Earth that a person could live a lengthy amount of time like this?

Alright so my friend suggested that I get a dirt bike, so he could teach me how to ride and so so that we can ride some trails. It sounds good, but I m afraid of something most people call a "cable trap" or a "wire trap". It s where some idiot takes a cable or wire, and puts it in between two trees about neck high so that someone on the trail hits it. My grandfathers friend was decapitated by something similar while snowmobiling years ago. Ever since I heard about it, I ve been afraid to do anything that has to do with 4 wheeler trails, snowmobile trails, or dirt bike trails. Is there something I can wear, or do to prevent me from getting seriously hurt if something like this happens?

  • Why do people recommend wearing long sleeves and pants when the mosquitoes, ticks, red bugs (aka chiggers), are out?

Best answer: I suppose you will learn the hard way. Tick are not know to leave a host once they have jumped. Instead they beat feet to a place on your body that does not have bug spray - assuming the spray you use even bothers them. I was stationed with a guy who came down with Lime Disease. I was stationed with a guy who came down with Lime Disease. He went from a very active basketball player that spent 2hrs a day at the hoops to a guy who could barely leave his room. He ended up getting a medical discharge.

It only takes one mistake in the wild to ruing your life. A wrong turn, a bear, a fall, or even a tiny bite. Do the smart thing.

  • Maine Law: Can I Shoot at night time? (With proper NVGs, and aiming devices, at a shooting range)?

I got NVGs, with laser designator. Want to do some night shoots. The range is open 24/7, and have gotten permission from the rod & gun club which own the range....No one really knew if this is legal.

  • Should trump force black nfl players to have Mandingo fights before each game?

They get paid boat loads of money to sit on their butts all day and disrespect our flag. I think it’s time to put blacks to work.

  • Which handgun should I get a 44 Auto mag or a 475 Wildey Magnum?

Best answer: The .44 would be a lot cheaper to feed (comparatively) than the 475 for sure. I don't know what issues anyone has had with handling on the Automag... easiest shooting .44 there is. OK, it is a BIG pistol, not small-hand friendly, so that could be an issue for some. If you can get a grip on it, it is like no... show more

I don't know what issues anyone has had with handling on the Automag... easiest shooting .44 there is. OK, it is a BIG pistol, not small-hand friendly, so that could be an issue for some. If you can get a grip on it, it is like no other .44 out there. Nothing at all like shooting a S&W 29 or Ruger Redhawk.

I can't compare it to the 475 in handling, I've never had my hands one, let alone shot it.
