• I just came up with this great alternative to using straws. Tipping the cup on your lips slowly allow liquid into your mouth. Thoughts?

Best answer: I perfected that same drinking technique when I was a very small child, therefore rarely needed to use straws. For the life of me I cannot comprehend why others don't learn to do the same.

  • Best home energy storage systems other than batteries?

I'm interested in storing energy from solar panels at home, but I don't want to use batteries because these I can't replace them if they break (unless you know a recipe that is efficient). What is the best way to store energy other than batteries?

Do liberals care more about hating Trump than about how well the US is actually doing.?

It seems that liberals care more about hate and revenge for a 2016 election, than actually caring about how well the country is doing. If the country does well then shouldn't that be good for all people? Regardless if it's a democrat or republican. 3.4 percent economic growth, highest in 10 years.... show more

If the country does well then shouldn't that be good for all people? Regardless if it's a democrat or republican. 3.4 percent economic growth, highest in 10 years. Nearly 4 million more jobs. Poverty rates the lowest in decades. Better relations in the world. Finally cracked down on the border problems. Highest Hispanic and Black employment rates in decades. Second amendment still safe. VOTE TRUMP 2020 if you care about America and the American dream.

I am currently an IT and I'm a soldier in the military. Somehow I got to work in this underground office (protected from missiles) and I work shifts everyday. I can't really leave or change the job because that would only get me into trouble for unobeying a command that can even result in jail. It's really hard for me not to have a window, not to see sunlight or rain most of the day. I find myself striving for "nature" and fresh air when I get released sometimes in the weekends or during the week. I have two more years in the army and I want to make the most of them but my mentality hurts my well being. How can I not take this so hard?

Best answer: Yes, of course. The water is drawn out of the ground with a pump, which is true whether you actually have a pump at your house or if you have city water as out of the ground is where city water towers get their water from. Water pumps are powered by electricity, which is the result of burning some fuel down at the electrical plant. Whether that fuel is a fossil fuel or nuclear, it results in pollution. Also, if you're taking a shower that uses hot water, that water is heated by a hot water heater that is fueled by either gas or electricity. Again, either way, it creates pollution. Finally, you're using soap and detergents in that shower, turning the water into what's called "gray water," which then goes down the drain to your septic tank or to the city sewer to be processed as gray water is polluted water.
