  • Are some old coins good for anything ?

I was going through some of my granny's old junk and a few way old, weird looking quarters in a little wooden box that she saved for some reason. Gonna keep the box cause it's cool, but I don't care about the quarters. Should I give em to my little brother to spend at the store or just toss em or what ?

  • How should I store/organize my large balls of yarn?

I have great storage for my regular yarn, but I have a lot of big balls of large yarn (mostly Bernat blanket and baby blanket) that need a home. I tried a large laundry bin/ bag but I had to root through the yarn to find it every time, and the yarn got tangled easily. Any suggestions?

  • Join knitted squares?

Best answer: There are ways to knit a blanket where you do little squares at a time, but always connected to the rest of the blanket while working. When you have your separate squares, cast off, you can not really use knitting to tie them together. You have the option to sew or crochet. If you connect them with knitting... show more

So I have a stick. it's not just any stick, it's a stick that's very special to me. I've had it since I was twelve, and I've always called it my "Wizard Staff". It's like an 8 foot tall stick that looks like Gandalf the Grey's staff and it's pretty sweet. I've found it once more since it was hiding in the garage for a few years, and I was wondering. What would be the best thing to help keep this thing preserved, sturdy, and save to hold? Meaning that it's smooth and sanded and whatnot. I literally found this stick off of a tree in the snow one year. I'm not sure if I want to stain it a color that's TOO stark, I honestly can't really see it as any other color than the sunbleached greyish color that it is. But I do want to have some method of making the wood more sturdy, since there are some pretty thin parts towards the top that i really really don't want to get damaged. What would be the best course of action for this?
