  • Do people at Walgreens photo see your pictures as they print?

Best answer: Yes, they do. They have to make sure that their machine is printing properly. They don't care about the subject matter, unless it is illegal.

  • How to get into filmmaking?

I'm 16 and want to make travel and surf documentaries. I have experience in music and photography. The only camera I currently own is a Canon EOS Rebel SL2 DSLR with the 18-55mm kit lens. I don't know of any filmmakers in my area so it's hard to get experience.

  • I need some knowledge about taking an art class?

Best answer: Have a go yourself, try a Bob Ross video, although his colours were occasionally a bit vivid his technique is easy to pick up and understand. Once you have tried a couple then give it a go from your own references. At least that will demonstrate to you whether you have the bug sufficiently to take a course. Most... show more

Most degree courses are picky about who they allow to join a course – because they are in the business of producing graduates who might go into the degree subject. Although you might find a vocational course more useful.

  • Should I be embarrassed to pick up my photos at Walgreens photo?

Best answer: I work somewhere similar to Walgreens, & trust me, no one pays attention to the photo area. Plus, I seriously doubt they'll assume you're weird for printing pictures of children. They will assume you know whomever your printing pictures of.

  • Will photography be harder if I decide not to go to college?

Best answer: Possibly. By not going to college you will not obtain a higher level of education which will have a negative impact on your ability to write well. Not having a higher education could also impact your ability to run a business well, which is the main reason self-employed photographers go out of business.

Can you do photography without a college degree? Yes. But you do so with the strong risk of not having a fallback plan if photography doesn't work out for you. Going to college specifically for photography is not a good idea unless you're going into fine art or commercial photography. Otherwise just teach yourself or take a few courses at your local community college to get you going and learn the basics. Most photographers didn't study photography in college, but the successful ones did at least go to college. Going to college will enhance your logic and critical thinking. These skills will be invaluable in your daily life and in the workplace.

So will photography be harder if you don't go to college? Well, maybe not the photography part, but everything that happens before and after you press the shutter will be more difficult with just a High School education.

  • Should you apply filters to nature pictures?

I take a bunch of pictures of trees and snow and everything with my iPhone (well, the best as I can with an iPhone camera) and I always debate whether or not to add filters (the vivid, vivid warm, etc.). How genuine is a pic after I apply some filters? Should I just do with increasing the light and the colors? Or... show more

Would I get significantly better results with a better body? I’m not professional.
