  • A recruiting company wants to add five years of (fake) experience to my resume?

I recently graduated, and a recruiting/consulting company that I recently began speaking with wants to train me for several weeks, and then state on my resume that I have had five years of work experience (I have zero years). Is this heard of, common, ethical, and/or legal?

I am a girl and I work in a shop. I have a degree, I am more than capable of working in retail, but there is this woman who works there, who is my coworker, but she bosses me around, she is condescending and treats me like I need help with everything I am doing. I am probably more qualified than her too. If I am doing a really easy job, like unpacking the stock, she says 'are you ok doing that?' and then when I say yes she goes 'are you sure?' She is always nosing into my business and my work life and she always asks me what time I am working to. Other times, she rolls her eyes at me when i try to make normal conversation with her. Another time, she was about to snap at me and started shouting at me, but then composed herself and stopped. I remember telling her one time I got ill and lost a lot of weight and she shouted 'well you don't need to lose more weight do you!' On another occasion the manager told me to mop the floor, and she kept complaining about how wet the floor was and then said 'I am only saying this because i am concerned about you' and then later on she told me to stop mopping the floor. Why does she boss me around? what is her issue with me?

  • Do you believe that modeling is the best job in the world given the many opportunities it offers?

Best answer: Having to get up at 3am in order to be at the location you need to be at 6am, not able to eat much, getting covered in make-up, trying to stand still in an uncomfortable pose for too long? Doesn't sound much like a vacation to me.

  • Should people with osteoporosis be allowed to work (thinner than normal bones) Who in their right mind would want to employ me!?

Best answer: There's no reason people with osteoporosis--which includes huge numbers of people younger than typical retirement age--cannot work.

I doubt if you're being rejected because of the illness, unless the only jobs you're applying for are manual labor with heavy lifting.

I work at a drug store chain. You would know it if you heard the name. A few weeks ago we hired a seasonal night cashier. He s an older man (40s at least). Last night it slowed down, and he was ringing and I was refilling the batteries. An older cop came in and he starts checking him out. The they had a conversation that wen tlike this: COP: How ve you been? SCOTT: Okay. COP: How are your parents? SCOTT: They ve both passed away. COP: Sorry to hear this. SCOTT: No answer. COP: So will you be at the 25th reunion in June. SCOTT: No. COP: No? Why not? SCOTT: I don t want to. COP: Why is that? SCOTT: I don t think I need to explain myself to you. COP: Sorry you feel that way. If you change your mind, we have a Facebook page... SCOTT: Thanks. I have other customers to ring out. So the cop left, and the next lady said, "You were rude to that police officer." He said, "I m sorry you feel that way." So I don t know if the lady or the cop will complain, but he was not rude. But here they push customer service. Like we have to walk the customer to the item if they ask where something is. I don t think he s going to get fired this close to Christmas, but I d hate him to get in to trouble. But I kind of thought the cop was out of line here not Scott. I mean chatting with people you know is okay, but I m guessing they went to school but weren t friends.
