  • Do i have to take certain courses/classes in college to join the US Army?

Best answer: As long as they are not the remedial classes that are offered for the people who don't do well on the placement tests.
100 level courses as the others have mentioned. Not something like 080 math. That's not going to count.
The art class should count. But take English and Math as well.

I keep thinking about my life and future and I don't want to be miserable. anyone have any ideas or went through the same thing I am please answer any feedback would really help me.

Best answer: Budget cuts, or their department was eliminated, their function was outsourced - all sorts of reasons.

Best answer: Have you done any acting or taken any acting classes? Have you joined your school's drama club or tried out for any school plays? If you haven't even auditioned for a school play, then you're a long way from becoming a successful actor. Get involved with theater somehow while you are still in high school. Start filming small videos with your smart phone and figure out how to edit them (I'm sure there are videos on Youtube) just to get some experience. Engineering is a really challenging field, but if you are really determined to become an actor or director, you have to aim your efforts in that direction. For acting, you need to get involved with a theater group in college or volunteer as an actor in student films. Make sure you choose a college that offers a TV/Film major and see if you can take acting or directing courses in addition to your engineering/computer classes. See if you can choose a computer major that allows you to do computer editing and computer-generated graphics because those are skills that might get you into the film or TV industries. Seek out internships while you are in college that will move you toward your goals.

On the other hand I live in Canada and I’ve done some research but I’m 15 so I don’t know too much about future jobs yet. Idk if it works differently in places like US or not. I’ll be choosing my courses for grade 11 later this year and I don’t know what courses to take. I’m planning on asking my guidance counselor or science teacher later once we’ve done more than just chemistry but I’ve just wanted to do some research myself rn cuz I still have time. I love chemistry but I hate physics and I find biology boring. I also know that school would probably take around 8 years to finish. And I’m also not completely sure how it works and if I’d want to be a medical scientist completely. But I know that I want to be involved in science somehow. How does the job work? Do you work independently or in teams? I know I might be planning too quickly, but if I don’t plan it out now I’m screwed next year.

  • How do I go about leaving my university accommodation?

Best answer: The thing is that if you leave accommodations now, they can't rent that space to someone else. So you'd still be on the hook for the charges. What are the rules/what's in the contract? Can you leave in the middle of the year, or are you committed to staying until the end of the year? I understand that most contracts in the UK are for 41 weeks, but you should check the terms of your contract. Ask the uni what happens if you can't pay the rent, if that's not clear from the contract.

Do you have any additional loan options, that can get you through until you are allowed to move out? Many unis in the UK offer hardship loans and similar - you could ask about that.

Also, Laurie is correct in that if you received any financial aid at those CCs and you apply now for financial aid, there will be a record of that.

Universities are very touchy about lying and if you are found out to have lied, your chances will be over. I would encourage you to discuss this with an admissions staff person.

What elite colleges are looking for is evidence of unusual talent --- a teacher who can say that you are good at some sport, or play a musical instrument, or volunteered at a local hospital, etc.
Most teachers try to do well by all their students, but can't be "pals" with 20 to 100 students each year.
