He added a small a/c vent in the ceiling and made some ducting to go to the garage. Even with a new a/c which has a higher rating, I can feel cold air come out occasionally, but it is like a outside breeze and the room stays hot. The room is fairly close to the device outside, yet a bathroom which is furthest away from the a/c often gets very cold in the summer and very warm during the winter. In the room, I have my computer, cable box, and TV on top of a marble desk which my dad attached to a wall and it spans from one side to another like |____|. The computer has decent cooling while the cable box gets very hot and probably contributes to the heat. I live in Florida where it is usually hot and humid. I got a small dehumidifier for the room, and while some people claimed to fill theirs up in hours, mine takes weeks, leading me to believe humidity isn't an issue. I could get a portable swap cooler, but that would only be a temporary solution. Any ideas?

I live alone and our landlady went out and it’s getting really hot and I want to turn on the circuit breaker that tripped but I’m not sure if it’s safe to do it myself. The circuit breaker is in my room.

  • Can I make a wooden box watertight?

If I have a small wooden box, is there a way I can make it water tight? So that it would hold water without it soaking into the wood or leaking from corners?

I thought that meant we were still using swamp cooling (which uses water vapor to cool air and then directs the air into the building), but the RA says that the building uses modern air conditioning and the refrigeration unit isn't working because there isn't any water. I'm confused. I thought air conditioning worked by compressing air or something like that and didn't require water. And refrigerators don't need to be hooked up to a water supply unless you have an ice maker. Why would the refrigeration unit for an air conditioner need water?

There has been no creaking from the top bunk bed or any snapping, but when my sibling gets on it sways a little and makes creaking noises. I am going paranoid because I don t know whether it s safe to sleep under the top bunk in fear that it might spontaneously break and crush me. Is it OK to sleep in my bottom bunk, even with the bottom wood pieces and side railing broken?

I have started removing old wallpaper from a bathroom, there has been water damage along the bottom of the walls which has caused the drywall paper to completely come off in a big chunk. You can see in the picture that it is loose on the left and right side also. I cannot seem to find instructions on how to fix this particular problem, where there is no actual paper left. (All I have seen is how to patch gouges.) So if anyone can give me instructions and a supplies list or find a link or video, that would be awesome! Thanks for your help

It did fine for about a week, then we accidentally left it unplugged for a night and it was really cloudy so we changed the water. It s been about 2 weeks since then and we ve kept the filter going constantly. We also have a cover for it & cover it every night. It wasn t used for a few days and now it s slightly cloudy water but smells!! What are we doing wrong? We bought a new filter cartridge for it which we re putting it now, even though the one we had in before looked good as new. Will this help? Or do we need to refill it again? It s a 700gal pool so I don t wanna have to continuously refill it. Also the kids never get in it dirty or track things in with them. Could the cover being over it for a few days have caused the smell? Beginning to mold with minimal air flow?
