I am fully capable of buying food and litter, toys and all the essentials... though anything over $200 I would not spend on any animal I own.

Best answer: Declawing a cat is a really big decision, and one that can have permanent repercussions for you and your animal. I'll try to summarize some information for you.

Declawing a cat is no simple procedure. It's not simply like trimming their nails or even cutting them off entirely. A cats claw is actually infused with their finger, so declawing them is basically like chopping off part of their fingers. If you want to compare it with a human procedure, it would be likely chopping off your fingers where they bend. It is very painful for the cat and has been banned in many countries for being inhumane.

While declawing a cat obviously removes the risk that they will scratch you and damage your house, it poses other risks. Many cats are reported to have mood changes after the operation, and some tend to be more aggressive and bite more (and a cat's bite is MUCH more dangerous than getting scratched). Declawing also takes away their natural weapon- should your cat ever find himself against another animal, he will have not way to defend himself.

In summary, you CAN declaw your cat. It's not the end of the world for the cat, and many declawed cats live healthy, happy lives. But it's a BIG decision to consider, and it may have negative repercussions for you and your kitty.

  • Democracy doesn't work. Should Britain become a dictatorship?

Best answer: Definitely, we need discipline in society to restore morality and wholesome family values to Britain and this can only be achieved with a National Socialist ideology with a 90% monochromatic society. Therefore, foreigners will be encouraged to leave or direct action will be necessary.

  • What can I do to make it easier to trim my cats'claws?

I don't want to get my cats declared, but they give me such a struggle when I try to trim their nails. I started doing this when they were babies, as advised, but when I try to trim their claws, I get shredded, rather than my furniture, bedding, curtains, clothes, etc. How can I make this easier on all of us?... show more

She’ll cry over and over and stand at the top of the stairs staring at me. I usher her to go downstairs and she does a little but it’s like I have to walk down the stairs with her. I know she has to go to the bathroom whenever she does this because once we get down there she goes. Does anyone understand why she’s doing this? She has also peed in my bed two times in the past week. I’m not sure if she can’t get down stairs but she doesn’t have a problem getting around normally. She’s playful and jumps around still. She’s been alive for about 7-8 years, so maybe she’s getting old? I’m not sure.

Can another clinic request this information even if the person signing off is not the owner? so long story short can a person just schedule vet visits and booster shots if they are not the official owner??

I also talked to everyone in my neighborhood and no one had seen my dog. Two weeks of restless searching later, I saw my dog in my neighbor's yard two houses over. It turned out they saw him by my mailbox two weeks ago and kept him since. They refuse to return him saying that I "dumped" him. He's microchipped but they won't allow the vet or AC to make a scan. They keep saying that I need a "warrant" to even TOUCH my dog.
