Our neighbor’s own two large white dogs, and for the past 5 months they have been hopping our wall into our backyard. I have pictures and videos for proof, these animals are not only hopping our wall but all of the neighbor’s as well. The dogs seem to stare down barking at all of the other animals in the neighborhood every single day and they are upsetting other people besides us. We don’t want to call animal control as it would be a hassle but we believe these animals may be abused on a daily basis from things we have heard and occasionally seen throughout the day and night. What legal action can we take to stop this? We desperately need to do something as we have many animls of our own and we can’t even bring our dogs outside to play anymore, and neither can the neighbors. It’s just gotten ridiculous

The fact that he was not even updated in shots and had a lot of other problems, should have been red flags.

I don't know if you can get any of the money back but I would take this dog back tomorrow morning and see what you can do.

  • Cat smelled my vape! Is that ok?

I was playing around with my vape and my cat was beside me. It was turned on and my cat came over and smelled it directly in front of the mouth piece. I didn’t know it was bad for cats until I did some research after, and now I’m really concerned. Is my cat going to be okay?

I’ve just come back from putting my cat down...the vet discovered she had a massive tumour in her jaw. Previous to this, this poor cat when thru dental surgery where they thought she had extreme decay, 12 or her teeth were extracted. Now one month after the surgery and two additional vets saying bloody discharge in both her eye and mouth was normal, we saw another senior vet today who informed us she had a huge tumour growing in her jaw. We visited this veterinary clinic over three times in the past month...they would have had to have know she had a tumour. I feel like I was completely played, they’ve gotten over $2000 out of me for “dental surgery “, using every scare tactic on me, knowing this poor animal was suffering. She even had blood work and xrays done, they came back normal I am livid that my poor cat was living in such pain for months. And I am livid that I trusted that these people knew what they were doing. Over 5 different vets (from three difference clinics) assured me that pain medication would help her and she and her healing was perfectly normal. What are my rights? And what should I do? Can I sue and is there a point of going to an organization like peta to help? Thank you

Best answer: You need to take kitten to the vet. Hopefully, a vet is open, being it is the weekend, so that means getting on the phone right away and calling. Bring a sample of the poop, if possible, but even if you don't have a sample, go there with the kitten.

Often, stress can cause diarrhea, so this may contribute to the problem, but anything with blood in it is cause for concern. Often, with a new kitten or pup, a change in food can cause trouble, but it is assumed the kitten was not eating while in the car. If he was, a different food may have added to the trouble.

Parasites can cause a lot of issues. This may or may not be "worms", but other things such as as amoebic or protazoic parasites such as giardia or coccidia can cause issues, which are NOT controllable with normal wormers. DO NOT use otc products, especially for a kitten already experiencing diarrhea. GO TO THE VET.

If you can't find a vet open this weekend, you can try putting some canned pumpkin in his food. In general, you should find out what food the breeder used, and use that same food, but in the case of a kitten not feeling well, just canned food might be advised. Add the pumpkin to that. Canned pumpkin is a general stabilizer for either diarrhea or constipation in cats, dogs, kittens or puppies - BUT, this DOES NOT replace vet consult or treatment.

Once kitten is feeling better, use 1 cup dry food/2 tablespoons canned/1 cup water, feeding about three times per day at 3 to 4 months, as much as the kitten will eat. Young kittens should not be limited in amount of food, until after about 8-12 months.

Remember that diarrhea can cause dehydration, so take it slow in feeding until the diarrhea settles down, and CALL THE VET.

There are also serious diseases that can also cause diarrhea with blood, so if it continues, look up: distemper in cats - but it is assumed the breeder vaccinated for this.

Kitten may have been upset with a ten hour drive. DO NOT feed Purina dry food to cats with sensitive digestive tracts.

  • My cat is 1 and we have had her since she was a kitten. For the past 3 days she has been distancing herself from family. Any ideas?

Normally she loves to be around family and be in the same room. Now at random times you could be petting her and she will run into the bedroom closet and just lay down. No signs of pain or discomfort. Her diet has slowed.

My dog was 9. He was a Minnie Aussie. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure a couple months ago, but was prescribed medicine and after that he took it everyday and seemed fine minus all the coughing. Eventually, the coughing got worse and longer, and his breathing became hard, so we took him to the vet to see what our options were. This was just last week. The vet looked at him and said he’s breathing and heartbeat were fine, but that his lungs were inflamed. She then told us it could be 3 things: just a simple infection, cancer, or a tumor. She prescribed him medicine and we gave it to him everyday. He stopped the coughing a lot and seemed to breathe a lot better, but just yesterday we found him in the bedroom laying down, twitching. We knew what was coming next and unfortunately after a couple minutes of softly petting and speaking to him he passed on. I’m so sad. But I just don’t understand how he died. It doesn’t make sense. The vet said his heart and his breathing were ok, just that his lungs were inflamed. And he seemed better with the medicine. Maybe he did have the cancer she was talking about? I’m so sad to even think about rignt now.

Tomorrow my “guy friend” and I are planning to hang out at my house, and my parents aren’t going to be home. We didn’t pick this day because they wouldn’t be here, it’s just most convenient for both of us, and my parents just happen to be working. It would only be for a few hours earlier in the day and we’d probably be done a couple hours before either of my parents got home, but my fear is one of them would for some reason come home early and I wouldn’t know how to get out of it. So does anyone know how I can either find out if and/or when my parents may come home early without sounding suspicious or up to something, and also how I could potentially get out of it if one of them happened to come home early and saw him here (he does have a car, that’s why I say that).
