  • My pitbull bit my baby in the face?

My baby went up to my pitbull and pulled on its tail and the dog responded by biting my baby on the forehead. My baby's head bled profusely and my baby was hysterical. Please help.? The baby needed stitches when I took him in. But the dog continues to bark at the poor child whenever they are in the same room.

He still manages to go up and down stairs but it’s more of a struggle now. I carry him up and down stairs if I manage to see him before he tries to go up or down on his own. The vet gave some medication and told me some steps to take to help my dog. Surgery is an option but risky because my dog is 13 years old. I’m curious if anyone has done any additional things (along with what their vet said) or bought any additional items to help their dog if they have/had luxating patella. Did you have your dog perform specific exercises? If so, can you please tell me what exercises you had your dog perform? Did you buy additional medication and/or supportive equipment such as a brace? If so, can you please provide me with the names of the medication and/or equipment, and where you bought them (name of website and/or store)? Did your dog improve or get worse? Thanks

  • My 8 month old was eating out of my cat’s litter box! What should I do?

Help! I don’t know if I should take him to the hospital or not. I found him stuffing the cat’s leavings into his mouth. I could tell his body was rejecting it because he was also regurgitating the droppings and shoving back into his mouth. Why would my son do this?!? What should I do??

I keep hearing a lot of pitbull owners and pitbull defenders use the argument: It's not the dog's fault, its the human's fault for raising them poorly! Everything is the fault of humans! All dogs are beautiful and perfect! F*ck all humans! So apparently these humans are raising these pitbulls to become violent and that's why they snap and attack their own owners and maul little children to death? If that's the case then how come you never hear of K-9 German Shepherd units ever attacking anyone? Those dogs are strictly trained from the age of puppies, to chase and hunt down criminals. Not to mention aggressively bite at them. But you never hear of K-9 German Shepherds ever straying off and killing innocent people or ever snapping on their owners do you? This might sound insanely farfetched, but is it possible that the problem is in the breed? I have seen articles of pitbulls killing children and their owners, and in the comments section of those articles you can see hundreds of pitbull defenders saying '' It's the human's fault! They probably triggered the pitbull to attack by blinking their eyes....or by breathing too loud! Those nasty humans! Leave those beautiful pitbulls alone! ''

My male cat who is 6 years old & not neutered went missing 7 months ago in march he was an outdoor cat & always came home to eat & sleep in the day then he'd be out for a few hours sometimes even a few days but he always came back within a week.. so 3 days ago after giving up searching for him after 7 months! I had decided to get a new kitten he's been settling in perfectly & he's 10 weeks old.. but about an hour ago I had left my window open & my old cat came back fat! well fed & clean & looked after so he obviously found another home! I left my window open for the best part of 7 months & he never ever came home until today 3 days after getting my new kitten! Its crazy! I put my old cat in the living room fed him he was purring & was sitting between my legs... I put him on a furry blanket & hes fallen asleep.. it's so strange its like he never left! My new kitten is now locked in my bedroom with me I'm obviously keeping them apart because I know my old cat will kill him! He was a very anti social cat always hissed at visitors & my moms dog etc thats why im shocked he found a new home as he's not neutered .. but now I don't know what to do! My new kitten has a vet appointment next week to get neutered & is forever going to be an indoor cat I learnt from my mistakes with my old cat..

The are currently on PetArmor topical flea medication- and I give the nitenpryam (or however its spelled) whenever it is particularly bad; which kills flea adults for 24hrs. But they always seem to have fleas. Ive checked both meds and neither are expired but the PetArmor says I can not give them another dose until 30 days have past. They got it on the 12 but I found 8 fleas on one dog while brushing the flea dirt out. Gave them the one-time flea pill, so itll work for today- but I am wondering if anyone has any non-medicated ways to prevent fleas that is effective? I know dawn will kill them, but it doesn't prevent it.

  • Dog doesn't like my room? How do I fix this?

I have plenty of toys and things to do in it, but whenever I put the gate up to keep her in my room she eventually goes to the gate and start whining to be let down. She likes to just go in the living room and hang in there. Is there any way I can fix this?

But the thing is, even though I'm good with animals in general, I haven't had a pet dog in the past. A local kennel owner thinks I should be good with this breed as she can help me train it to be an ideal companion but a fellow colleague thinks it doesn' matter how good I am with animals, this breed is way too aggressive and It'll be extremely hard to make it a good companion :/ I need advice from experienced dog owners please, what should I do?

He follows me everywhere i go and he happened to be right under me when I didn’t know. I stepped on his paw on accident and he MEOWED. I felt so bad I immediately went to pick him up and apologize. (Usually he doesn’t mind me picking him up) but he hissed at me when I did this!! He has never hissed at me before I was shocked! But only a minute later he came to cuddle With me while purring. Do you think he will remember this or not trust me as much now?? I don’t want it to affect how he treats me or anything in the future.
