Best answer: I mean if you had 60 fights and lost once, that's more fights and better record than many professional fighters. I mean there's probably difference in quality of fighters you fought with compared to the professionals, but still. If you are training for self defense, then you are training to defeat average tough guy joe in your immidiate area. With 60 wins you seem to be good to go. (Seriously, Musashi fought about 60 duels, and that's considered excellent.)

With that said, 60 fights is a lot and it seems like you are picking up a lot of fights. I would train less in martial arts and do more of soul searching. Find out what's causing these conflicts and fix that problem.

Of course, this is all if you actually fought 60 real fights. :D

Who would win a fight between smaller 5'9 145lb man who has been training mma for 3 years or bigger 6'2-6'3 185lb guy with no martial arts training. Street fight with no weapons. Who do you think would win? Does size beat skill?

  • Are certain fighting styles more useful to a person depending on their size?

Are there fighting styles that are best performed depending on the size of the person? For example, would a smaller person be better at wresting, karate, Muay Thai, etc. than a person with larger stature who is equally as skilled? Or does the larger person always have the advantage?

Best answer: As a far east asian myself, I think those guys are idiots. I think of people learning our arts as people appreciating our culture. It's a sign that our culture had contributed something worth while to the international human culture.

If they want to be so close minded, then let them know that them wearing western style clothing offends you and that they should only dress in traditional garbs grown only in the traditional methods(without the modern western farming methods). They should stop using the number symbols because they are middle eastern, they should stop eating pototoes, tomatoes, and all these new world foods because it's not of their culture, and they should stop listening to modern music because there is no much African American influence in all modern music all over the world.

Seriously we can go down that list all day because so many aspects of our lives are influenced by different cultures internationally. I think it's beautiful that our cultures are so intermixed and I love that we(the asian culture) have something to offer to this mix. I would be much more saddened if nobody was taking anything from my culture, because that would mean that nobody sees any value in my culture yet.
