  • How can someone treat other animals like objects?

I've never understood why some humans are so full of themselves, acting like humans own the planet and therefore own every animal, no we don't, we don't own earth and the animals on it are not ours to own, they are not objects. Humans are animals, does that make humans objects? Or do they just deny simple science and stupidly believe that somehow, humans are not animals? How can anyone think like that, are they sick? It's disgusting, they are alive like us, they deserve the same respect, just because they are not human does not mean their lives don't matter, being human does not give us dominion other them.

A lot of authors of articles for popular non-professional magazines repeat those things because they are either trying to be thorough or they are just lazy and haven't checked the stories out themselves.

The only thing about GMO soy is that it has not been studied for very long. So there isn't as much knowledge about it. The one thing that seems to be true is that there may be an increased sensitivity to soy that develops if one eats a lot of GMO soy.

GMO soy may or may not be worse for us than Non GMO soy. But GMO soy is bad for the environment. They typical farming practice with GMO soy is to use a lot of herbicides in conjunction with it.

  • Should everyone be vegetarians?

Happy world vegetarian day! Humans can survive perfectly well without meat. A vegetarian diet is actually healthier for the human body. It's kinder to the animals. If everyone became vegetarian today, there would be enough food for 10 billion people. The ONLY reason humans eat meat is for pleasure.

BUT a sensible vegan doesn't worry about that since a sensible vegan does "what he can, within reason" to reduce animal suffering.
Vegans also don't refrain from walking, driving or taking any public transportation. AND we all know how many bugs are glued to the front of a vehicle during a long drive. AGAIN, sensible vegans don't go nuts on things like this.
