The scrolls that became the Bible were written over a period of 1600 years by 40 different writers. There are 66 books in the Bible. 39 are in the OT and 27 in the NT. The writers came from all walks of life. Kings, priests, shepherds, prophets, lawyers, doctors. It was written in three different languages on three different continents. There are 66 books but all the books harmonize with the others. Some books pick up where others leave off and the writers did not know each other nor did they have a copy of the other ones book. Many deny the miracles in the Bible because they are miracles. Well duh. They also try to read the Bible to find any inaccuracies in it. They have preconceived ideas and a closed mind. When they find something they don't understand, instead of looking for an answer, they gloat and say "see here". There are many prophecies in the Bible that have come true. There are many more to come to fruition. Many of the places and people in the Bible have been denied even existing by some in authority yet these very people and places have been proved to have existed. The Bible is the most widely circulated book in all history. According to the 1988 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records, an estimated 2,500,000,000 copies were printed between 1815 and 1975. That is an enormous figure. No other book in history has come even close to the Bible in circulation figures. Besides that, no other book has been translated into so many languages. The Bible can now be read, in its entirety or in part, in more than 1,800 different tongues. The American Bible Society reports that it is now accessible to 98 percent of the population of our planet. Imagine the huge effort involved in producing so many translations! What other book has received such attention?
