If there were a cheap way to turn CO2 in the air into energy, would global warmers want to destroy the invention?

It would mean there was no more argument for shutting down coal and natural gas and oil because of global warming.
Update: Assume the price would be very similar to the price of fossil fuels, so the coal and natural gas production would continue, but the CO2 emissions would be essentially zero.
Update 2: People are ignoring the question and talking about perpetual motion machines and laws of thermodynamics. I haven't described the technology other than that it is cheap. It is possible it uses another (fossil fuel or other) energy source to create the energy. The point is that is takes CO2 out of the air,... show more People are ignoring the question and talking about perpetual motion machines and laws of thermodynamics. I haven't described the technology other than that it is cheap. It is possible it uses another (fossil fuel or other) energy source to create the energy. The point is that is takes CO2 out of the air, solving the global warming problem and allows fossil fuel energy to not increase CO2 levels.
