Kittens separated from mummy before they are 8 weeks old often develop psychological problems.
IF you do not frighten them, they may become more friendly in a month or so.
Sitting quietly, making no startlying noises, or sudden movements is key.
Get a laser pen, to use for play. You can sit still and have them chasing the beam for hours.
An empty paper sack, and/or small cardboard boxes left on the floor makes for a fun hiding place.
Setting up a way for them to climb high in the room with a nesting spot so they can look down on everything (safely) is a plus.
That they use the litter box is very good, no surprises left under the bed or in the corners.
A ball in a track toy can keep them occupied too.
Stroking them where they cannot reach is helpful, between the ears, under the throat, side of the head.
