The Bible describes many events that would have left unmistakable and undeniable evidence, that would have survived to this day, e.g. a world flood would have left evidence not only geological evidence but also in the genetics of all species, whilst we can not expect to find the actual Ark, except through nearly miraculous means. If the Bible is true, this evidence will exist and the more we learn about the history of the area and time, the more we will see that it matches the Biblical record.
On the other hand, the converse is also true, if we do not find supporting evidence and matching time line of history, then we can conclude that the Bible is not true.
To make this determination you will have to honestly and objectively evaluate not only the evidence that we have but learn to determine how creditable and biased various sources of information are.
