Slavery was a money making enterprise. Until reformers fought against it. Attitudes changed. But those who were planted from country @ to country @$ pass their sense of dislocation from their roots, and as a consequence of slavery, families were separated, which left emotional scars, which continue to be felt down the generations.
Slavery was on open display. No disputing the fact it existed. Plus it wasn't the slaves who got compensated when they were freed, but THEIR owners for loss of property/ assets!
History is written by the winners. Hence UNCOMFORTABLE truths aren't BROADCAST loudly. Like how after the 1929 stock market crash ushered in the era of depression, which meant for U.S. businesses it was a profitable venture arming Nazi Germany. Plus many U.S. companies had German subsidiaries. What was there to hate about profits, or dirt cheap labor, courtesy of Hitler's laws?
Whilst the holocaust is rammed down the throats of all to extract sympathy.
The holocaust DIDN'T happen in a vacuum. It was years in the planning. It didn't happen overnight. Set against a global depression, the German Jews were unwanted wholesale by any one country. Hitler interpreted correctly the west didn't want to offer sanctuary to the Jews. That being so, their fate at his hands was sealed.
At best WW2 lasted from 1939-45, but the promotion of the holocaust is out of ALL proportion.
Whilst anything untoward that could tarnish its promotion is not highlighted as vocally.
The book based on Trial transcripts "Perfidy" by Ben Hecht sheds uncomfortable light on the participants.
When the issue was fresh, post 1945 ramming it to give Jews Israel was one thing. This was when those then alive WERE responsible, so why shouldn't the guilty have been made to feel it.
But now it's in hyperdrive. A financially lucrative industry. If Israel wasn't what it is, it might be different. Israel is a DISAPPOINTMENT!!!
It doesn't help the victims, when "facts" are after all not "certainties".
First there were claims Ann Frank's diary was a "fake". The resounding outcry was "RUBBISH".
Then it's exposed Ann Frank's diary instead of falling into the public domain has its copyright renewed, because HER father made a substantial contribution. Money. Always it comes down to money.
Or the gas chamber's are replica, as the original were unsafe.
As the decades pass the goal posts keep moving.
And even questioning just how many precisely died, is frowned upon. The label of antisemitism is used to silence any justifiable questioning.
The more the holocaust is ramped up to exonerate Israel's behavior, the more the consensus falls apart.
Hitler was inspired by the Armenian genocide. His response, "who remembers?" Hitler's murder of the Jews, the gypsies, the homosexual, the impaired, anyone he hated, fell into the realms of just one more GENOCIDE. The ARMENIANS didn't have access to the media to milk it for all it was worth and beyond. Till people got fed up of the narrative.
It wasn't as if all those KNOWN war criminals were tried at Nuremberg. The tainted, the visible face of Nazism ONLY were held to account. The majority ESCAPED, thanks to the Vatican. They won the jackpot!! As those wanted war criminals were "recruited" by the CAPITALIST SYSTEM to fight against an alternative system, communism.
So much for the tale of highminded morality. Morality versus money, money won! Since those Nazi shaped the ensuing decades, it's hardly surprising many deny it.
Plus in countries the Jews were killed both by the Soviet and the Nazi and their collaborators. But since the country saw the Nazi as their liberators from the Soviets, the Nazi atrocities are not hyped up.
