Just won't be as cheap or easy, just like now.
Crude oil used to bubble out of the ground, copper could be picked up in big chunks, etc.

The Earth will not run out of water (think of all the oceans), and will not run out of a renewable resource such as food. But both of those resources will become more expensive to use and will thus cost a greater proportion of your income - just like the old days!

No, these are two resources that we will not run out of. We have the ability to feed the world. It is corporate greed and politics that prevents us doing so.

Food and water are renewable resources. We will not even run out of petroleum, but it will become more expensive. Think about gasoline costing $10 per gallon within a decade or two and then live your life accordingly.

It already has run out of fairly-shared resources. Did you know it takes 3,962 gallons of water to produce 2.2 pounds of beef. It takes 2.6 gallons of water to make a single sheet of paper. It takes 6.3 gallons of water to make 17 ounces of plastic. It takes 924 gallons of water to produce 2.2 pounds of rice. It takes 2,641 gallons of water to make a pair of jeans. It takes 39,090 gallons of water to manufacture a new car. You'll need to become both better able to retain what you have and also much less wasteful.

Those that predicted we'd all starve by the 1990's were wrong because science found out how to genetically modify (faster than normal breeding changes) and grow more food per acre, but what it didn't find out how to do was stop the soil from losing its natural nutrients and trace elements. It doesn't appear to know what to really do about growth promoters either. So we have set ourselves up for a rapid fall.
