based on how many homosexuals have chosen to
become heterosexual, it can no longer be called incurable.

Mental illness? Probably not. It's more likely a developmental problem. But the fact remains that we have no direct control over what attracts or tempts us. There is nothing wrong with this. The good or the evil comes in what we choose to do about them.

I oppose your question, homosexuality is a free choice, sometimes it can be proven by the mental advice of the devil, it can be cured by the conversion of the person in question to God!
Do not question the so-called Father Amorth, he had no power to send away demons, indeed, many times have kicked him and whipped him!

No, I know it is a "sin" and don't think it is a mental illness but with God all things are possible so not incurable even if it was. Homosexuals and lesbians is just an hatred of and/or imbalance between masculine and feminine energy. That why a lot of gay man hate women and lesbian hate men. It almost implies to heterosexuals too and I don't know why you are so worried about them. Their "sin" is not worst than your "sin". You shouldn't identity with your sexuality and you should transcend all sexuality and/or any/all limited belief about your self, all other people, the earth and God. And you're not a sexual being or even a human being but a spiritual being. Sin just mean missing the mark.

No, that would be people that live by ancient superstition.

No it is a normal part of the range of human sexuality. Religious intolerance on the other hand does seem to be a mental illness but it is curable by education.
