    No. Any person can inherit anything from anyone in a free society. In some countries, especially Muslim countries, women cannot inherit anything, even from their own fathers.

    If there is a valid will inheritance is dispersed according to instructions therein regardless of blood ties. If there isn’t one, in most countries it is either the spouse or the offspring that inherit possessions and funds.
