Why is my teacher so dumb?

My teacher asked what the closest planet to Earth was, so naturally I raise my hand and she calls my name so I’m like hell yes!! I got this. So I tell her the right answer, which is the Moon, and this ***** LAUGHS AT ME??? so I’m like wtf. she tells me it’s Venus, which is bizarre, because all of us with BRAIN no it is the moon. How do I tell her she is wrong and why did she get hireded if she is so dum?

First of all, it was very rude of your teacher to laugh at you. That was very disrespectful, and she should get reprimanded for that. However, she is right. The definition of a planet includes “it cannot be the satellite of another object,” which is basically what the moon is. A natural satellite. Venus

    is

the closest planet to the Earth. Hope I helped!

You think your teacher shouldn't have been "hireded" and she is "dum"?

It sounds to me you need to relax and not take things so personally. Anxiety issues perhaps? Just do your work and graduate.

The moon is not classified as a planet, it's a satellite. It's too small anyhow....Pluto used to be classed as a planet but recently it was decided that it was too small.

Anyone with a brain knows the difference between 'no' and 'know'

Hi Shannon. The moon is.... a moon.

A planet, such as Saturn, Jupiter and Venus is... a planet.

Just because they are both round and out there in space does not make them the same thing.

Please listen to your teacher and educate yourself.

PS. She probably got hireded to teach idiots like you all day long.
