Can the holocaust be justified on utilitarian grounds? Did the people in Germany that time support the genocide of the millions of jews?

Most Germans didn't know. They can't support what they don't know about.

They weren't slaughtered for any 'greater good'. They were slaughtered out of fear and hate.

Fear and hate NDVER justify murder.

Such things can be justified when the group being murdered are parasites on society. Welfare recipients and immigrants are a good example of parasites in modern society. They are slowly infesting our country and taking over. I believe a civil war or some kind of genocide is actually needed in America.

The individuals in Germany at the time didn't think about it.

Nor did any individual who wasn't straightforwardly associated with it, until the war finished.

Cold-blooded murder of innocent people can never be justified.  "Thou shalt not kill" (6th Commandment).

The majority is not always right.  Obama got elected twice and now most people that voted for him regret it.

The people in Germany at the time didn't know about it.

Nor did anyone who wasn't directly involved in it, until the war ended.
