Was the Adams bridge man made or natural?

Adam's Bridge also called Rama's Bridge, or Ramar Setu from the Sanskrit. It is a chain of limestone shoals between Pamban Island off the south east coast of the state of Tamil Nadu in India, and Mannar Island off the north west coast of Sri Lanka. It is a natural phenomenon not a feat of human civil engineering.

Since it isn't very functional as a bridge and seems remarkably similar to coral atolls I'm gonna stick my neck out and say "natural".
